ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Posy

I'm a Level 3 Personal Trainer, although I think the term Movement Coach is more appropriate (as pretentious as that can sound!)

I'm passionate about helping people move with more confidence, freedom, and playfulness.

For me, strength training is really about what it allows you to do when you're outside the gym - whether that's about performing better in your sport, having the energy to play with your kids, or simply realising you are capable of more than you thought.

My background is in strength training, calisthenics, yoga, parkour, Budokon, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

But I also have a love of just moving outdoors - walking, running, swimming, rollerskating or climbing trees!

I bring this varied background and love of all forms of movement to my coaching - with the goal to help you discover, or deepen, your passion for movement too.

My mission is to get people to fall in love with movement, by coaching them to realise they are capable of so much more than they ever thought. I do this through an approach that combines multiple disciplines - building strength, skill, and confidence that carries into real life.

Whilst I grew up being active and spending time outdoors, I also grew up in an environment where sport and physical ability were often seen as less important than academic success.

Like many women, the dominant story I absorbed was to be skinny, not strong. So I spent my early 20s doing lots of cardio, a bit of yoga, and not much else.

Everything shifted when I discovered parkour in 2015. For the first time, movement felt meaningful, creative, and genuinely fun. But it also showed me very quickly what I was missing - I couldn't do a single push-up, and a pull-up felt YEARS away.

If I wanted to move in the way I wanted to, I needed to get stronger. So I started strength training.

Over the years I've explored many types of movement, and I love that the more I learn and the stronger I get, the more I feel I have freedom and choice when it comes to movement.

It's satisfying to know that I could confidently scale a fence to escape a zombie apocolypse, even if that time never comes :)

Since becoming a mum, my time is more limited than ever. I am not as 'strong' as I once was, and I rarely get to practice parkour or BJJ...but I still feel as motivated and passionate about movement as ever.

Because for me, that’s what it’s really about: finding a way to train that works for your life, and sticking with it.
